ANOTHER DUI WRONG-WAY DRIVER CRASH WAS COMMITTED BY A DRUNKEN WOMAN!
The charges have struck a woman that was driving down the Kennedy Expressway going inbound when she was supposed to be going outbound!!! Unfortunately, she collided with another vehicle and seriously injured the other driver as she ws slapped with severe charges and has a long road of fines and court time ahead of her.
The name of the woman is Vanessa M. Castillo. Castillo had a strong smell of alchohol and was unconscious at the scene according to the Police Trooper. Not only was she intoxicated, but she was driving without a driver's license as well. She was obviously not well equipped to face what was going to happen to her next after she had gotten behind the wheel after drinking.
The driver of the other car was a 34-year old Chicago woman who has suffered fractures to her legs but this poor woman was conscious when the firefighters and police arrived. Mrs. Castillo entered the Kennedy Expressway at Armitage and headed in the out!!! Or otherwise, went on the inbound lanes meaning to drive on the outbound lanes.
The stage of the accident was created by Castillo's silver Chrysler Sebring which clipped a semi truck and a black Mazda and then both crashed head on at about 4:20 A.M. Both drivers had to be extricated from their cars. A brutal seen that at least luckily left both the drivers alive.
We have blogged about similar Wrong-Way drunken driving accidents that have occured quite recently. This crash is at least the fourth time this month that just a regular driver headed the wrong way on an area expressway that has caused an accident that resulted in severe and critically damaging injuries.
